Legality is a fundamental category of legal science and practice

The article considers legality as a fundamental principle of legal science and practice. The relevance of the research topic is related to the fact that all branch legal sciences, without exception, exploring various legal aspects of the law enforcement process, one way or another, eventually face the issue of legality. The author examines approaches to understanding the concept of "legality" and provides opinions from various authors. In the context of the topic, aspects of violations of the rule of law in a modern state are studied and ways to strengthen the rule of law are given. Based on the results of the study, it was determined that only the comprehensive implementation of mechanisms for strengthening the rule of law will contribute to the development of a modern rule-of-law state and civil society in the conditions of modern reality.
