Legislative framework for the appointment, organization and functioning of the national police of the Republic of the Congo

The article is devoted to the legal aspects of the purpose of the National Police of the Republic of the Congo, which have found their consolidation in the relevant legislative act of the specified state. Revealing the degree of correspondence of the Congolese police department to the constitutional provisions of the Basic Law, the author focuses on: firstly, on the mission of the noted law enforcement institution; secondly, on the peculiarities of its organization and functioning. According to the author, the approach he proposed to the analysis of the mentioned subject field will allow us to more clearly consider the practice of Congolese legislation addressing the activities of the National Police of our country.
