The article deals with the regularities of the formation of the composite prepositions of the modern Russian language. There are described the basic models of the formation of the denominal prepositions of the reason. There are enumerated the factors, influencing on the degree of the completion of the prepositionalisation of the prepositional-nominal word forms and the formation of the composite prepositions in the modern Russian language.
