The article examines the role of precedent in the Russian legal system before the adoption of new decisions of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, which enshrined the elements of case law at the legislative level, as well as the innovations themselves. The study revealed the relevance of this consolidation on the basis of judicial practice.
