On some peculiarities of English and Russian law words: linguoculturology perspective

The article presents reflections based on a comparison of some English and Russian law words groups. The words under consideration cause no difficulties for translation but they are interesting for analysis in terms of the linguoculturological approach which highlights the importance of the idea that a language is a reflection of the character, the worldview of the people and their history. A special focus of the compared words analysis is on the application of certain lexical items cultural development principle. The practical significance of the observations presented in the article lies in the fact that they can be used during practical classes of a university course "English for Law".
