Review on the Second Russian aesthetic congress

The purpose of the article is to inform the scientific community about the holding of the Second Russian Aesthetic Congress from July 1 to July 3, 2021 in Yekaterinburg on the basis of the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin. It is noted that the task of scientists today is to reflect on the modern subject field of aesthetics as a philosophy of beauty, aesthetic sensuality and art, as opposed to the utilitarianism of our days, which is increasingly cultivating base and disgusting, as well as filling the deficit in the meanings of beauty and interpreting them in the new digital and media space. The decoration of the Congress was two open lectures by foreign scientists: Igor Pavlovich Smirnov (Germany) “Cinema and “regress us ad infinitum” and Mikhail Naumovich Epstein (USA) “Poetic Beyond Poetry”. Despite the fact that in one case the material for aesthetic judgments was cinema, and in the other poetry and moments of new poeticization of modern life, both scientists were worried about the same question: where is art going and what is the role of poetic (aesthetic) in the future of humanity? At the Congress, new breakthrough ideas were voiced, bold positions were outlined, allowing us to introduce new meaning-forming forms for our humanistic existence, to draw attention to the total necessity of aesthetic and artistic education and upbringing.
