Foreign experience in legal regulation of punishments in the form of compulsory, correctional and compulsory labor

The article analyzes the foreign experience of legal regulation of punishments similar to punishments in the form of mandatory, correctional and forced labor in the Russian criminal legislation. The comparison of criminal penalties related to the involvement of convicts in foreign and Russian criminal law is carried out. It is concluded that the use of public (to a lesser extent - correctional labor) is provided for by modern criminal legislation in most countries; while forced labor is not widely used as a criminal measure of correction of the convicted person.
