Foreign experience of application of the differentiated approach in regulation of regional development

The development of the subjects of the Russian Federation is characterized by high differences in socio-economic development indicators. In this regard, it is important to develop regional policy measures that take into account such features. This justifies the relevance of considering the foundations for the formation of a differentiated approach in regulating regional development in developed and developing countries that takes into account the individual characteristics of specific territories, with a view to its incorporation into domestic practice. The article analyzes the foreign experience of elaborating various mechanisms of state regional policy depending on the individual characteristics of the territories.
