Protection of the rights and legitimate interests of victims as one of the key areas of forensic support for the investigation of fraudulent activities using information and telecommunication technologies

The authors draw attention to the rapid growth and variety of ways to commit fraud using information and telecommunication technologies or in the field of computer information. The low detection rate of such criminal offences is noted. It is stated that the victims of fraudulent actions of this category in most cases cannot count on the return of their property and money. The authors actualize the necessity of development of forensic support for investigation of fraud with the use of information and communication technology, a key element of which should be a system of recommendations for the protection of rights and legitimate interests of victims. The main directions for creating systems of such recommendations are proposed.
