Electrical resistance of carbon nanotube with a metallic type of conductivity during mechanical loading and intercalation by sulfur

The paper presents the results of calculations of the electrical resistance of carbon nanotubes (5,5) and (7.7) under mechanical loading and the intercalation by sulfur. Current-voltage characteristics of ideal single wall carbon nanotubes have been calculated using the software package Transiesta, which incorporates first principle calculations based on density functional theory and non-equilibrium Green's function method.
