The small talk genre as an obligatory part of the translator’s communicative competence

The article is devoted to the consideration and description of complex translation activities, which include not only perfect knowledge of a foreign language, but also a clear understanding of the cultural characteristics of the country in the language of which communication takes place or a written version of the document required for translation is presented.
