The article deals with E. Jelinek's novel "Women as Lovers" in aspects of genre's distinction. The author reinterprets the form's and content's features of the traditional love story according with own world view. Love theme turns into the concepts of suffering, disgust, hate and even death. The plot's schematism and repetition, circle composition of the novel cancel love relationship's importance, create such features of the Jelinek's world view as monotony and repetition.
