The article deals with the issue of the transition of manufacturing enterprises and companies in the oil industry to a new model of interaction with manufacturers of electrical equipment, in particular, of electric drives. The new model involves the conclusion of long-term contracts for the use of the technical process support service. At the same time, the enterprise is not the owner of the operated specific equipment. The equipment manufacturer assumes obligations for its supply, commissioning, full-time maintenance, and most importantly, constant modernization. This modernization is carried out within the framework of the signed contract, is performed regularly to upgrade to the latest models of equipment and technologies, and does not imply an increase of the initial price of the contract. Decommissioned equipment is used by the its manufacturer to create new models. Thus, the company can always stay up to date in technological development and have the most modern technological support, what significantly improves its competitiveness in the market.
