The conceptual ambiguity of the personality’s life path prompts us to turn to the psychological content of the phenomenon. The psychological aspects of a personality’s life path involve addressing social and spiritual, value-moral, and life-meaning problems. The study uses subjective, personal and situational approaches in a holistic understanding of the life path as a psychological phenomenon. Psychobiographic formations are such subjective and personal phenomena as the inner picture of the life path and attitude to life, behavioral strategies and actions, life orientations and life position. The main problems of the personality’s life path psychology are: the uncertainty of terminology; overcoming the view of a person as a closed whole and the declarativeness of this opinion; the uniqueness of a person’s life path; the breadth of the subject field; a new expanded conceptual apparatus and difficulties in its use; the diminution of the value of methodological technique. The concept of the life path includes the formation of a personality as a subject of own life and the development of spiritual and moral sphere, that is, the history of the formation and development of personality. It is shown that at the level of personality, the spiritual and moral laws of being become decisive, and the presence of a spiritual and moral core determines a harmonious model of personality. Personality models represent the life paths of a personality of different maturity levels. The basis of the models are personality types, the prototypes of which were the types of basic life (subject-object) orientations on the grounds of “life creativity” - “life responsibility”, which were determined empirically. In this regard, the author’s typology of personality models is considered, based on the typology of life orientations, and the corresponding variants of the life path.
