The article provides an overview of the history of the monarchical The Double- Headed Eagle journal and the publishing house of the same name. The history of one of the largest monarchist organizations of the Russian emigration of the “first wave” - the “Supreme Monarchical Council” (“SMC”) is reconstructed. The foundations of the ideology of the “SMC”and its body - The Double-Headed Eagle journal are shown. The main authors of the journal have been identified. Particular attention is paid to the topics discussed on the pages of the publication. The development of monarchical thought went along the lines of the “rehabilitation” of Nicholas II, the discussion of aspects of his great martyrdom. The Double-Headed Eagle journal was one of the first to propose the concepts of “Soviet monarchy”, “people’s monarchy” and the slogan “God, Tsar, People’s Councils”. The reasons for the defeat of the White movement in the Civil War of 1917-1922 were discussed. The article also provides brief biographical information about the leaders of the “SMC” and The Double-Headed Eagle journal - N. E. Markov, A. N. Krupensky. The aspects of the publishing activity of The Double-Headed Eagle journal are shown. The thematic and typological analysis of books and brochures published by the book publishing house The Double-Headed Eagle is given. The facts of financing the journal and the publishing house of the same name are noted.
