The article is a review of articles of the scholarly journal of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy Russko-Vizantiysky Vestnik ( Russian-Byzantine Bulletin ), 2020. No. 1 (3), dedicated to the religious and cultural interaction and continuity of Orthodox Byzantium and Russian Orthodox civilization. Accordingly, the content of the issue is divided into two major areas: Byzantine heritage and Russian religious philosophy. A significant place in the journal is devoted to materials covering events related to anniversary dates: the 200th anniversary of the Slavophile Yu. F. Samarin, the 125th anniversary of the death of Emperor Alexander III and the 70th anniversary of the death of the theoretician of symbolism Vyacheslav Ivanov. It is shown that the journal presents a wide range of thinkers, statesmen and public figures, and analyzes the materials devoted to them.
