The studies revealed that in the cold climate conditionsthe diet and the forageneed of the Siberian roe deer population substantially change. The ecological and geographical conditions of the region and the biochemical composition of plants determine the poor amount of the endo-biontciliates in the digestive tract. Behavioral responses in the roe deer foraging activities are adaptive strategies to the Northextreme conditions.

Herbaceous plants, lichens, endo-biont ciliates, roedeer, pasturage, wood-shrub forage
