The importance of vocabulary work in Russian language classes for non-Russian audiences

The article discusses a very important stage of the lesson when studying the Russian language in a non-Russian audience, such as vocabulary work. In the context of globalization and active intercultural communication, effective language acquisition is becoming a key aspect of language learning. There are many varieties of vocabulary works and all of them are purposefully used for the successful acquisition of the Russian language by students. At this stage of the lesson, the following factors play an important role: age, level of language proficiency, mentality, worldview and worldview, because the language being studied is perceived and acquired when compared with the native language of students. Taking these factors into account, the teacher must choose the appropriate types of vocabulary work. The relevance of this article is the choice of effective vocabulary work in studying the Russian language, focusing on the differences in the perception of vocabulary by native speakers of different languages and cultures, as well as the influence of the native language on the learning process. The Conclusion emphasizes the importance of adapting vocabulary work methods to the specifics of a non-Russian audience, which contributes to a deeper understanding of the language and improves students’ communication skills.
