Significant Anniversary of the Moscow State Institute of Culture and its Role in Promoting Russian Spiritual and Moral Values

This article examines the history of the emergence, development, formation of library education, the history of the Moscow Library Institute and its transformation into the Moscow State Institute of Culture. Traditional values that are of particular social and pedagogical importance in the educational system are analyzed, and are components of productive, creative activity and life priorities. It is shown that it is the transmission of the main traditional values that contributes to the patriotic education of students, lays the foundations for value guidelines, ideals, meanings, and principles. The article describes a set of cultural and creative programs and events that influence the formation of students’ self-awareness as a result of cognitive processes.
