Zone of an artificial structure as a section of a high-risk road

This article highlights the problem of accidents in the area of artificial structures on the roads of Russia and the roads of the Republic of Iraq. Statistical data on accident rates near bridges, overpasses and overpasses from various causes and conditions are given. The features of the physical properties of artificial structures are considered in comparison with conventional sections of roads made of asphalt concrete. The article raises the problems of the passage of artificial structures with excess of the established speed of movement on these sections of the road network. Measures are proposed to improve road safety in the area of artificial structures.
