Zoonyms and phytonyms in idiolectal aspect

This paper raises the questions of idiolect - one of the significant problems in anthropological linguistics, a trend in modern language study, which currently looks important and promising for the scientific study. Certain characteristic features of the use and performance of zoonyms and phytonyms in epic poems are analyzed here for the first time. The zoonyms and phytonyms in focus were selected from a collection of articles “The Onego Epic Poems Collected by A.F. Gilferding in the Summer of 1871”. We came to a conclusion that the use of substantives belonging to these lexical paradigms is, by and large, canonical. However, we identified some characteristics of the individual use of these words in the texts of the following narrators: I. Feponov, P.L. Kalinina, T.G. Ryabinina, V. Shegolyonok, K.I. Romanov and others. Specifically, we noted the overall number of zoonyms and phytonyms used by a particular performer (taking into account the number of the times the lexemes of this thematic group are used) and the number of individual designations of zoonyms and phytonyms in the text by each performer (taking into account the portion of the used dialectal words from the total amount of these substantives).
