Zoonyms in the Lezghin and the English paremiological picture of the world (on the example of the wolf and the dog)

In article paremiological images of a dog and wolf are considered. Relevance of research is connected with that they weren't a subject of the special linguistic-cultural analysis in comparative aspect. Meanwhile research of images of animals in the paremiological units promotes reconstruction of one of important components of a national language picture of the world and definition of valuable reference points of a linguistic-cultural sphere of any language. Among proverbs and sayings with a component - the name of pets - the image of a dog along with images of a cat, donkey and horse is representative. It is connected with that these animals played large role in everyday life of people and idea of them were always present at consciousness of the person. Despite distinction genetic and cultural historical links of the Lezghin and the English languages, in them a certain quantity of the proverbs and sayings expressing similar semantics is found. Investigating the Lezghin proverbs it is possible to notice that in them other images closer and clear to these or those people are often used. Sometimes externally similar sayings bear in themselves opposite and various values, or on the contrary, express the same thought through the statement something or denial of the opposite. In the studied proverbs and sayings strikes their originality, in them the features connected with life of mountaineers and with geographical conditions of dwelling come to light.
