The article deals with the phonostylistic analysis of the English traditional nursery rhymes. There is considered the subgenre of the amusing folklore. There are described the phonetic features of the poems of the genre. The author gives the characteristics and the analysis of the frequency of the sound repetitions in tales and rhyme systems.
