A. S. Pushkin and the "lake school" poetry

The article is concerned with the facts of A.S. Pushkin's awareness of the work of the "Lake school" poets W. Wordworth, S.T. Colridge, R. Sauty. In the process of analysis a vast text material, including rough copies of Puskin's fiction, his critical essays and correspondence with his contemporaries is used. The evolution of Pushkin's attitude to romanticists of the "Lake School" from disapproval to recognition of their creative merits is shown.
