Adaptation of foreign students to the information space of the Russian military university

The paper reviews the adaptation of foreign students to the information space of the Russian military university as the innovative practice in vocational education. The information technologies allow the students to acquire better military knowledge and, consequently, adapt effectively to the military academic environment. Russian university keeps cultural and historical military values that encourage professional and comprehensive development of foreign military students. A combination of scientific theoretical teaching approaches and principles, educational components of the military society, its various educational models as well as a set of teaching arrangements can influence the adaptation of foreign military students since it is regarded as the activity of all actors of the military institution. Training of foreign citizens is to develop the individual values of the personality, including motivational, cognitive, behavioral, emotional and evaluative components that help young people deal with and fully participate in social and economic environment. Meeting the adaptation challenges is impossible without reliance on spiritual and moral foundations of military life: collective consciousness, respect for the historical memory of the previous military generations. These values can become the main means of adaptation of foreign students in the academic controlled process at the military university.
