The article deals with the foreign and native studies of the problems of academic dishonesty in the system of higher education. There are revealed the various forms of academic cheat. The author describes the individual, motivational, contextual and situational factors of academic misconduct. The set of methods of the most effective control of the students’ dishonesty is suggested.
