The axiological basis of the Russian folk tale

The axiological basis of the Russian folk tale is analyzed by the means of revealing the synthesis of mythological, animistic, totemic and Christian representations. The binary oppositions of good and evil and the mechanisms of passing the collective memory and moral standards, defining the uniqueness of the folklore way of thinking, are considered.
