Актуальность данной публикации, как и само презентуемое научной общественности мероприятие, посвященное актуальным проблемам развития местного самоуправления, не вызывает сомнения, что подтверждает состав учредителей конференции одноименной тематики и фрагменты выступлений участников конференции, проведенной в администрации г. Батайска, в малом населенном пункте Ростовской области. Символично и то, что инициаторами и организаторами этой конференции выступили Южно-Российский институт управления - филиал РАНХиГС при Президенте РФ совместно с ассоциацией «Совет муниципальных образований Ростовской области», а также Общественной палатой Ростовской области. Целью данной публикации является стремление авторов осветить содержание основных идей, высказанных участниками конференции по основным проблемам местного самоуправления.

Actual problems of the development of local self-government in the context of modern challenges (on the results of the study)
The relevance of this publication, as well as the event presented to the scientific community dedicated to topical problems of the development of local self-government, dedicated to this topic, is beyond doubt, which is confirmed by the composition of the founders of the conference of the same name and fragments of speeches by the participants of the conference held in the administration of Bataysk, in a small settlement of the Rostov region. It is also symbolic that the initiators and organizers of this conference were the South-Russian Institute of Management, a branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration together with the Association «Council of Municipalities of the Rostov Region», as well as the Public Chamber of the Rostov Region. The purpose of this publication is the authors' desire to highlight the content of the main ideas expressed by the participants of the conference on the main problems of local self-government.
