Current tasks of personnel training for library and information structures

These structures are focused on information support for scientific research. It is noted that at the present stage, the training of personnel for these structures covers two areas: the traditional one, which includes programs for working with traditional information resources, and the direction focused on working with electronic resources (IT). This requires serious transformations in the basic training programs at universities and the formation of a more powerful system of postgraduate education: additional post university education, training and retraining courses, on the job training. Learning takes the form of continuous learning.
