Algorithm for shaping and assessing the professional competence of secondary vocational students

The article presents a theoretical basis and an algorithm for the formation of professional competence of students of secondary vocational education in the context of the modernization of educational activities. The essence of the learner's professional competence is defined. The effectiveness of the methodological foundations of professional training responsible for the formation of students' professional competence has been revealed. Theoretically, an algorithm for the formation and assessment of professional competence of students of secondary vocational education has been substantiated and practically developed. It provides for several aspects of the educational environment: identification of students' professional aptitudes and motivation for future professional activity; formation of an active leadership position, responsible attitude towards learning objectives; readiness to work in a team; study of disciplines that contribute to the targeted development of the structural components of professional competence; use of innovative methods in combination with traditional ones, etc. Subsequently, the effectiveness of this algorithm was tested and proven during the experiment.
