Analytical aspects of the film industry

This article analyzes the main aspects that have influenced the development of the film industry over the past decade. The article reveals the main performance indicators of the film industry, which are defined as: box office receipts, production costs and net profit of companies. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the main indicators of the development of the big film industry is considered. The main reasons for the decrease in the total box office of the 100 highest-grossing films in the United States by distribution studios from 2013 to 2022, which have both objective and subjective genesis, are identified.
