Analysis of professional identity discourse in the soviet press of 1920-1930's

The article carries out a discourse analysis of the Soviet press of 1920-1930-s in order to identify communicative practices of professional identity development. The research has shown that in the 1930-s there was a single vector of identity discourse in the Soviet Union. However, professional identity was only beginning to crystallize in the discourse of the Soviet press, on the pages of which there were a lot of materials about various occupations, their duties and difficulties, but mostly the journalists focused on the proletariat identity, rather than the professional one.
