The article reflects the problems of catering and developed proposals to improve the control system using the methods of controlling as a management tool for decision-making. Defined the main directions of development of modern technologies of services and activities to enhance and improve the promotional activities of the restaurant. It is necessary to increase the technical level of production, modernization of existing production facilities, the use of modern cooking technologies. More important is the use of modern methods of collection, processing, storage, modern analysis and presentation of information for the preparation of management decisions and is one of the most important and effective levers of business development. The main directions of development of modern technologies of service in restaurant are also offered actions for attraction of clients and improvement of quality, increase of profitability, profitability, stability, and also increase of competitiveness of the catering enterprise.
