Analysis of the effectiveness of mental and physical rehabilitation of law enforcement officers-participants of armed conflicts with delayed post-traumatic stress disorder

This article analyzes the effectiveness of some means of rehabilitation of the psychophysiological state of law enforcement officers-participants of armed conflicts with delayed post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The problem of occurrence, course and signs of post-traumatic stress disorders is considered. A number of rehabilitation methods for relieving and reducing psychoemotional stress in PTSD are proposed. Anumber of generally recognized and valid methods of examination of the mental and functional state of the organism of participants in armed conflicts with delayed post-traumatic stress disorder are proposed as the basis for the diagnosis of SHAPE \* MERGEFORMAT psychoemotional state in the subjects. The results of the psychodiagnostic study allowed us to determine the features of PTSD in law enforcement officers and served as the basis for the development of a correctional and rehabilitation program. The use of rehabilitation measures with elements of therapeutic physical culture and relaxation, as well as light and sound correction of the activity of the Central nervous system in the complex of rehabilitation of subjects with PTSD showed significant changes in the psychophysiological state: positive dynamics of changes in the severity of the primary symptomsof delayed PTSD. These provisions allow us to offer a developed rehabilitation program for use as a means of prevention and correction of PTSD.
