In recent years, the scientific community has been widely discussing the search for effective, innovative approaches to the organization of physical culture and sports classes in the university system. In physical education curricula in the higher education system, one of the components is professionally applied physical training, the value of which will become significant if the means and methods are focused on designing the educational process as one of the important components of pedagogical activity. The paper summarizes the various points of view of leading scientists on the problem of the design of the educational process in physical culture and the results of the research conducted by the author on the design of physical activity for bachelor’s students, taking into account the level of their physical fitness, which today has both theoretical and practical significance. It is substantiated that the design of physical culture and health-improving activity for students should be considered not only as a purposeful activity but also as a factor in the formation of a healthy lifestyle.
