An analysis of the results of reducing the radiation load of personnel in institutions of the dental profile - ways to improve the training of personnel when working with modern X-ray equipment

Based on the annual forms of compulsory statistical reporting - the radiation-hygienic passport of the organization (RGPO), an analysis of X-ray diagnostic equipment and the radiation exposure formation on staff working with sources of ionizing radiation in healthcare institutions of dental profile of Samara for 2004 and 2015 was carried out. The received results of the average annual individual dose of the staff working with X-ray diagnostic equipment, despite the introduction of more powerful and modern X-ray equipment (for creating a panoramic radiograph) showed a reduction in the radiation exposure due to professional retraining which allowed the staff to select the optimal regimes for production of the image and optimize the parameters of the current intensity, voltage, directly affecting the formation of radiation doses.
