Analysis of the Russian Federation federal districts social sphere

The main approaches to assessing the level of regional socio-economic and social development are analyzed. The disadvantages of the methods proposed for today are described, the tendency of the dominance of the social component is highlighted. For the social sphere of the federal districts of the Russian Federation, an algorithm for finding an integral indicator of its level of development is proposed. It is proposed to identify the components of the social sphere: “Social environment”; “Standard of living”; “Housing conditions”; “Medicine, education and science”; “Culture, sports, recreation and tourism” and link them with the level of social development of the districts of the Russian Federation. The method of determining integral indicators for each of the components is described, numerical values for all Russian federal districts are calculated. A comparative analysis was carried out, conclusions were drawn regarding the possibility of using the proposed technique in other conditions. The authors describe the main trends reflecting the results obtained.
