Corruption is an acute and urgent problem in modern society. This fact determined the conduction of this study of anthropological and socio-psychological prerequisites for corrupt behaviour of the Khakass and Tuvan ethnic groups. The research was organized on the basis of Morogin’s theory of the value-need sphere of the individual, and involved the use of the author’s methods for value-need tachistoscopic psychodiagnostics of corrupt and anthropopsychological identification and identity. The study aimed to identify generic and social reasons for corrupt behaviour of representatives of the two above-mentioned ethnic groups. The results of the work confirmed the formulated hypothesis: no significant differences in the structure of corrupt identity were found among representatives of the Tuvan and Khakass ethnic groups. It was noted that the social behavior of Tuvans or Khakass in terms of the presence or absence of signs of corruption is determined by the quality of their system of values and their needs.
