The use of computer technology training in our time is of great importance, thanks to new features. XXI century - the age of informatization, undoubtedly, makes its own adjustments in the traditional teaching of foreign languages. And our task is to learn how to properly and effectively use modern information technologies in the educational process within the framework of higher education.
The introduction of modern computer technology and information transmission tools in various spheres of human activity has led to the emergence of fundamentally new ways to carry out this activity. These methods, based on the wide use of the unique capabilities of computer technology for processing, storing and providing information, are combined into the concept of new information technologies (NIT). Broad prospects for NIT are also opening up in the pedagogical field. The use of NIT in the teaching and pedagogical process represents, in the opinion of specialists, a qualitatively new stage in the theory and practice of pedagogy. The aspiration of progressive teachers to meet the growing need for education by using the opportunities of new information technologies brings new forms of education to life.
In recent years, the issue of the application of new information technologies in the university has been increasingly raised. These are not only new technical means, but also new forms and methods of teaching, a new approach to the learning process. The main purpose of teaching foreign languages is the formation and development of the communicative culture of students, the teaching of practical mastering of a foreign language.
The task of the teacher is to enhance the student's cognitive activity in the process of learning foreign languages. Modern methods such as learning in collaboration, project methodology using new information technologies and Internet resources help to realize a personality - oriented approach in learning, provide for individualization and differentiation of learning taking into account students' abilities, their level of learning, aptitudes, etc. [3].
Building a conceptual-technological model of teaching foreign languages in a modern university implies certain stages of work:
-
1. The creation of new educational technologies in order to integrate the global educational space.
-
2. Development of methods and technological model of online textbooks.
-
3. The introduction of distance learning foreign languages (electronic textbooks).
The development of goals and objectives of each direction is aimed at stimulating the intellectual and emotional development of a person who is able to carry out independent cognitive-communicative activities in both academic and professional spheres. The development and implementation of innovative technologies makes specialists rethink the role and place of foreign languages in society. At present, the need for vocational orientation of language training has significantly increased, the range of foreign-oriented specialties, the competence of which also includes practical knowledge of foreign languages, has significantly expanded.
All training computer programs one way or another provide for the development of certain grammatical structures. The possibilities of using Internet resources are enormous. The global Internet network creates the conditions for obtaining any necessary information for students and teachers located anywhere in the world: regional geographic material, news from the life of young people, articles from newspapers and magazines, the necessary literature, etc. Students can take part in quizzes, contests, Olympiads held on the Internet, chat with peers from other countries, participate in chat rooms, video conferences, etc. Students can receive information on the problem they are currently working on within the project.
As you can see, the merits of computer training is not small, but you cannot abuse computerization. Criteria are needed for the use of computers in a lesson for each age group of students on topics of target subjects, criteria for evaluating educational software. As for the criteria of utility of a specific technology in education, it can be formulated as follows: this or that educational computer technology is expedient if it allows one to obtain such learning outcomes that cannot be obtained without using this technology. In this regard, the following forms of work with computer-based training programs are offered for prospective teaching of a foreign language:
For practicing pronunciation. Many tutorials provide for microphone operation. After listening to a word or phrase, the student repeats after the speaker and a graphic image of the sound of the speaker and the student appears on the screen, comparing which shows all inaccuracies.
To learn vocabulary. With the introduction and development of thematic vocabulary, such as sports, travel, food, clothing, etc.
For learning dialogic speech. 1 - stage - acquaintance with dialogue. 2 - stage - learning a dialogue. 3 - stage - dramatization of dialogue. For learning a letter. This type of work immediately solves the problem of correct English words. as a modern period of development of a civilized society is characterized by the process of informatization, the introduction of modern information technologies into the education system makes it possible to improve the mechanisms for managing the education system communication networks, to improve the methods, forms and content in accordance with the objectives of development of the individual student in modern society informatization conditions. It helps to form the ability to independently acquire knowledge and conduct research, use computer systems for diagnostics, testing and control of knowledge.
As the main personal characteristics trainee. Programs must be interactive in order to develop student autonomy. In order to further self-realization of students, it is necessary to develop their abilities and harmonious individuality of the personality. What are the criteria for the effectiveness of the use of technical means of teaching in foreign language classes? What are the criteria for the effective use of technical means of teaching in the classroom in a foreign language? First, they must increase productivity. Secondly, to provide feedback and control of all actions of students. Third, increase interest in learning a language.
It should be noted that the use of multimedia technologies cannot provide a significant pedagogical effect without a teacher, because these technologies are only ways of learning, the effectiveness of which depends on the teacher’s ability to use them to achieve certain pedagogical goals based on deep learning. exploring all the possibilities. Not surprisingly, not all teachers were ready for the widespread adoption of computers in foreign language teaching. It is necessary that every teacher understands a simple idea: a computer in the educational process is not a mechanical teacher, not a deputy or an analogue teacher, but a means of strengthening and expanding the possibilities of its learning activities.
The use of new information technologies in teaching foreign languages undoubtedly carries with it enormous pedagogical potential, being one of the means that turns learning a foreign language into a living creative process. Of course, one should not forget that teachers, not computers. A computer is just a complex machine in the service of a person, and it will never replace a teacher. However, we’ll quote Bill Gates: "All computers in the world will not change anything without enthusiastic students, knowledgeable and dedicated teachers, caring and knowledgeable parents, and a society that emphasizes the value of lifelong learning." -technologies when teaching a foreign language to university students can significantly expand the scope of the educational process, make it more interesting, effective and optimal.
