Chess genius in the works of S. Zweig and V. Nabokov

The article deals with the issue of the personification of the archetype of the genius in the novel “Protection for Luzhin” by V. Nabokov and “Chess novella” by S. Zweig. There is given the analysis of the conceptualization of the writers about the chess genius. There are revealed the distinctive featuress of the genius image that are individual by the artistic worlds of S. Zweig and V. Nabokov. The authors conduct the comparative characteristics of the heroes.
