Need of search of new types of the large trade buildings created within uniform classification requirements is proved. In article the typological models of multipurpose trade piers (MTM) differing in a form of the plan and the general vector of development of volume and spatial structure which cornerstone the pedestrian public and communication space (mall) acting as the main and socially important element of city life is are revealed. Four types of the Mall Area, Mall street, Mall quarter and Mall tower models are in detail considered. These models, along with other factors, give ample opportunities to master effectively city space, mainly allowing to form adaptive multipurpose trade malls (AMTM), harmoniously connecting and connecting the defective, separate or degrading territories of various town-planning zones of the largest cities.
