Art pedagogy as a means of forming motivation for learning activities in primary school children

The article investigates the role of art-pedagogy in fostering motivation for learning among primary school students. It provides a comprehensive definition of “art-pedagogy” and outlines its advantages. The study analyzes various organizational forms of work within this pedagogical framework. A set of classes using methods and forms of art-pedagogy aimed at correction and improvement of results, formation of learning motivation, achievement of success, increase of self-esteem, reduction of school anxiety is prepared and tested. Examples of exercises using the technology of art pedagogy in the process of extracurricular activities are given. Findings indicate that students in the experimental group, who participated in the proposed exercises, exhibited increased cognitive motivation and a greater willingness to meet academic expectations compared to their peers in the control group. Additionally, there was a notable rise in the levels of conscientiousness and responsibility among these students, as they became more inclined to adhere to the teacher’s instructions.
