Asymmetric gravity modulation in Rayleigh task

Infinite horizontal fluid layer heated from below is considered under asymmetric gravity modulations, which are caused by layer oscillations in perpendicular direction. Earlier, the results of linear theory were obtained. Supercritical modes of fluid motion when stability equilibrium is lost were analyzed in this paper. It was shown that increasing the parameter of asymmetry leads to increasing the rate of supercritical flow.
