The article focuses on testing the the teacher ’s professional standard, its influence on the teachers ’ professional development and the issue of updating teachers and executives’ certification procedures. The teacher’s compliance to the professional standard requirements integrates the pedagogical skills. The article reflects the issues of teachers’ stimulation and motivation, creating conditions for teachers’ training and continuing education; development, testing and implementation of new procedures and tools for assessing the teachers’ professional work to determine qualifying category, correlated with the requirements of the professional standard.
