The autobiographical hero in the novel "A naked lunch" by W. Burroughs

This article focuses on the evolution of William Burroughs’s creative method and the contents of his novels "Junkee" and "A Naked Lunch". The article proposes a comparative analysis of subject organization of these texts resulted in the substantial change of the narrative of "Junkee" being transformed in "A Naked Lunch". As a result, the latter novel loses the features of self-biography, and Burroughs creates a new hero by revealing differently a problem of human dependence and simultaneously suggesting new opportunities of how to avoid of it.
