Work-Life Balance for Women at Different Stages of Family Development

This article examines women’s perceived work-life balance at different stages of family development. Definitions of the concept of balance are given, the current state of foreign and domestic studies on this topic is presented, a model of the family life cycle is considered. The empirical section presents the results of a comparative analysis of the severity of certain balance aspects in groups of women at different stages of family development. The sample size of the study was 247 women. The study used the “Subjective Work-Life Balance” methodology by A.N. Mospan, E.N. Osin, T.Yu. Ivanova, et al. (2016), supplemented with a questionnaire to assess the demographic characteristics of the respondents (age, occupation, work experience, and presence and age of children). The results were processed using ANOVA analysis with post-hoc pairwise comparisons. The study revealed a non-linear change in the perceived work-life balance among women.
