The point-rating system at the university: the results of students’ mastering the discipline in a batch-group form

The article analyzes the results of the use of a point-rating system in teaching the batch discipline “Business Process Modeling” to undergraduate students of various fields of training after a complete transition to full-time study mode. The issue of insufficiency of taking into account only the positive extrinsic motivation factors (to study successfully, to pass exams with “good” and “excellent”), in the point-rating system among students of two areas of training to ensure their productive learning activities has been revealed. It is proposed to strengthen the interest in the educational process through the communication interaction with the teacher, which is implemented in classes. The author believes that the expansion of the use of control and measurement activities within lectures will positively affect student discipline and organization and increase the effectiveness of using the point-rating system a means of controlling academic performance.
