Allusions to the poetic tradition of Charles Baudelaire in the novel "Mephisto" by Klaus Mann

The article is devoted to the study of the novel Klaus Mann's "Mephisto" in the context of the poetic tradition of Charles Baudelaire, revealing to the contacts in the work of writers, artistically realized at the level of textual allusions and associations. Charles Baudelaire's "Les Fleurs du Mal" is mentioned and cited in Mann's novel in connection with the prototype of black-skinned beloved of the main character in both texts (Ch. Baudelaire's Jeanne Duval, "The Black Venus" and K.Mann's Juliette Martens). The atmosphere of Paris and the character's state, depicted by Charles Baudelaire, which had influenced K.Mann (through W.Benjamin's articles) is also mentioned.
