The article presents the results of research on the most important problems of music education and upbringing. Studies related to the intonation basis of a musician’s holistic training, terminological and semantic approaches to the constituent elements of intonation - articulation, pronunciation, and performing means of expression are analyzed. Multivariant possibilities of the process of long-term multi-stage preparation of a musician-performer are shown, when on the basis of intonation factors, a person’s adaptive capabilities for perception, comprehension, processing and transmission of musical material are formed. At the same time, the student develops a culture of transmitting information through the preparation of his intonation and, more broadly, musical and performing qualities. These qualities determine the possibilities of intonation as a process of emotional disclosure of interpretative meaning through articulation and stroke solutions, methods of sound production, dynamic gradations, timbre color, tempo, and agogics. The student fills his thesaurus with the means of transmitting musical information in all the variety of modern achievements of musical art, pedagogy, psychology and related Sciences. In the process of articulation-stroke, intonation-based educational process, the psychophysical orientation of the musician-performer and the culture of his personality is brought up.
