The results of study, aimed at revealing the influence of the value-based attitude towards the profession of the first year students on their motivation to learning and independence in the aspect of professional development, are considered. There are described the content and functional parameters of the lecturers’ work, associated with supporting the development of the social and professional independence of students in the context of conversations and master classes as the elements of the educational process.
